Spicy twist to the classic!
Infused with our secret Mala recipe, we added a spicy twist to the classic scrumptious seafood snack.
*What in the world is Ma La?* Long story short, Ma La is a type of spicy flavor originated from Asia. But it is so much different than the normal spicy you might be accustomed to.
Excitement on Your Palette
Similar to the classic Salted Egg, we used finely selected medium size shrimp as the main ingredient. We removed all the unwanted parts of the shrimp and left the cheeks for deep-frying. Then the cheeks are added with our Salted egg recipe, recreating that exotic, oriental, yet addicting taste.
Except this time we *also* infused it with our Mala recipe--a classic Asian spicy, **numbing** flavor-- along with other top quality ingredients. And voila, behold, our crispy, spicy and irresistible snack.

The reason why Mala is a hit across Asia is because of its no. 1 unique characteristic--it numbs you. We're not kidding, look it up, it literally numbs your tastebuds a very little bit, so it's a never-ending paradox of how can you continue to feel its heat and spiciness, when it has already numbed you? **Which comes first, the numb or the spice?** You'd never know until you try ;)
"Wok" it Like We Talk it
In order to truly mix the flavors perfectly together, we toss our deep-fried shrimp cheeks into the wok and fry them with curry leaves, chili pepper and an assortment of spices to ensure that everything *blends perfectly* together. Then the snack is further baked to lock down the flavors, resulting in our signature delicacy.

It wouldn't be an authentic Asian-styled snack if it ain't made in Asia. We gather the best of ingredients from different parts of Asia, then cook them in Singapore. All of our food snacks are therefore processed under the regulations of (ISO Singapore), so you can be ensured that our quality is of tip-top standard.
